Facebook Pushed out Standalone Messaging Application “Facebook Messenger” For iPhone and Android

Today Facebook entered into the App messaging space with separate application for both Android and Apple iPhone.With Facebook Messenger You can reach your friends and colleagues right on their phones, get and send messages fast, message everyone at once and more. Remember Apple also launching iMessage –Apple’s new messaging service with iOS 5 later this fall. Looks like Facebook want an early entry to competete with the much awaited iMessage from Apple.

 Facebook Messenger is currently available only in the U.S. I’m not aware whether it is available in any other country! If it is available in your country please add it in our comments section.
