WordPress.com users got new Contact Form interface
|WordPress.com is a semantic personal publishing platform with a focus on aesthetics, web standards, and usability.Wordpress.com users got a new year gift from WordPress community. Now WordPress.com users can manage their Contact Form so easily. All you have to do is just click on the add a custom form button announced bywordPress.com.
This will open a brand new GUI interface for Contact Form. You can Drag and Drop the fields also you can create new fields by clicking on the add new Text Area link on the right side of the interface.
It is an easy to navigate around the interface.I think the WordPress.com form builder got powerful set of features including,
- Add and remove fields
- Re-order the field list (drag and drop)
- Select from different fields including text, drop down, check box, radio button, text area, etc.
- Mark fields as per your requirement
- Specify the email address you want the form results sent to
- Custom subject line for the form results email
Once you finish clicking on the add this button the contact form will insert the shortcode in to your blog page or post.In addition to emailing out the form results, they are now also stored in the WordPress database, for this feature they introduced a new menu item called ‘Feedbacks’, just below ‘Comments’ for this feature. This feature is similar to comment management in WordPress.
You can read more documentation for Contact form on WordPress.com and How to install a new Contact Form.
