WordPress Updated To Version 3.5.1

WordPress, the most widely used Blogging platform just got a new update few hours before. This is the maintenance and security update for just released WordPress 3.5. WordPress updated to bring more than 36 loopholes in the previous version.

As per the official press release some of the major security issues fixed in this update include,

Misuse of pingbacks for remote port scanning and a server side request forgery vulnerability which could lead to information exposure and site compromising.
Two cross-side scrippting issues via shortcodes and post content.
Another cross-site scripting vulnerability in the Plupload library

Most of our blogs got powered by WordPress and we already started the WordPress upgrade process. You can too download the WordPress 3.5.1 update manually or update automatically from the WordPress dashboard.

Please note a bug may be preventing WordPress to execute the updates on Windows server running IIS. WordPress released a codex to fix this issue. You can find it in their official blog.

I think you should install this WordPress update as soon as possible on all active websites.
